Guess!

I'm going nuts over this pair of GORGEOUS summer shoes from Guess earlier!

They were SO cute, and so pretty, and super-super-high-heeled!

GRRRR.

They didn't cost as much as I thought they would,
but still very much out of my range.
:(

I WANT!

P/s: Kenny, you can go um, hang yourself for not knowing about my love for shoes.
You're my BRODER!

Feels like today.

I just felt like making my presence felt,
again!

I haven't written here in quite some time.

Though nowadays there isn't much to write about. Nor talk about. Matt's been complaining that I don't talk to him enough!

Exams are sucking the (social and physical) life out of me.

DARN.

College has been relatively boring. Same thing over and over. Though I hardly get any studying done, really. xD

I'm done with 3 papers! About 700 more to go. SIGH.

Though the many many Cho Tai Ti games have helped. Pon, Paul, Pia-fairy, Kua, Baby..
awesome people to hang out with laaaa. :)
Dexter-goblin and Daryl-unicorn as well!

Mechanics today was not too bad. But then again, only God knows. I might be a Mechanics idiot deep down.

Next thing to slug for - ECONS!

LAW!

Lit.

OMG OMG OMG, AND FRICKING C4!

I feel like having Godiva again. ;)

Sometimes people get lost.

When you've had something in your pocket every day of your life, even if it's not THAT essential, when it goes missing, you feel lost.

When you've always had two bolsters with you when you sleep, when you move out far away to live on your own and have none, you feel lost.

When you have breakfast every morning with Mum or Dad, then one of them leaves, you feel lost.

When you misplace something you've never misplaced before, and can't find it, you feel lost.

When you grow up physically perfect, and lose your sight, or a limb, you feel lost.

When you lose your phone, you feel lost.

When you come home finding that your house has been burgled, your laptop, TV, cash, everything, has been taken, you feel lost.

When you craving something and finally have it, but it tastes different or odd or yucky, you feel lost.

And baby, when I don't see you although I really want to and expect to, and usually do..

I FEEL LOST.

You're just about as important to me as my legs, hands, and feet. :)

I love you!

Reflections, afflictions.

He looked miserable when she said something about 'Adeline'. Kind of like a regret, that he had to spend her life with her instead of the said Adeline. His face spelt a sadness, that nothing could correct. When she teased him about Adeline being his girlfriend, it was sarcastic to the point of heartbreaking.
My heart goes out to him.

I saw the tall tree amongst the many oil-palm trees next to the highway. Tall, straight, shady. Different. Above the rest. And i knew that I wanted to be that from now on.
Aim for the stars.

***
I love having an aunt who is a grandmother already. She taught me the random-est things in the car on the way home today. I finally understand the art of grandmotherhood. And I can't wait to spend some time with my nieces in Bahrain and UK! Oh and I can't wait for my new half-Spanish baby niece Kevin is expecting. WHEEEE!
Babies are love.

***
I took a picture of the very orange sunset.
Thank God for Nokias and auto-focus cameras.

***
I found out something about a friend today which I didn't expect. And I was crying, thinking that he would have been better than any other sleazy guy I know.
But then again, it's only because I expected him to be nicer. He never promised to be or claimed to be.
And then I told myself again, that expectations can only hurt you, Amelia.
I stopped crying, said goodnight, and got online.
And it stopped hurting, because I've learnt that expectations don't CHANGE anything, except nothing.

***
I'm a fussy bitch. I can't let anyone else do anything, and now I feel like a bossy freak. I can't decide on birthday dinner because I'm too damn worried about everyone else and forgetting Michelle's intentions.
Good God, let it be near KLCC, somehow.

***

I missed you, Carolyn. And you really freaked me out when I woke up from my nap. I care a LOT about you and I want to go to KLCC with you tomorrow really badly.
But I want what's best for you, and that's badminton training. Stay safe. Go buy your shoes soon!

***

I love you people so much. The trip to Ipoh was good for me. It got me thinking, and contemplating, and loving.
If only..

I eat too much!

Just another distant memory..

OMG.

Must be one of my favourite memories ever, I bet. :)

Taking off your make-up.

Staring at you,
Taking off your make-up
Wondering why you even put it on.

I know you think you do
but baby you don't need it,
I wish you could see what i see when it's gone.

-Rascal Flatts

We all live lives of pretenses. Putting up personalities and facades that sometimes, are hard to take off. Pretending to be people we aren't, trying to fit in, and look good, better, cooler.

Or most times we hide who we truly are. We're afraid to let the world know our true emotions, characters, strengths and weaknesses, we're afraid of being laughed at.

Pride and fear drive this.

Peer pressure.

Idolatry.

And we hate it when someone discovers our true self. We then immediately detach our poor selves from the people who know us best. We risk losing whole social circles simply because we can't let our essential selves be seen.

The pride, scorn, the lack of humility. The pain.

I mean, if you've been trying to keep something up, you don't want it tumbling down!

But sometimes you can't help it.

Love is too strong, too irresistible, too powerful.

So don't fight it, baby.

Sometimes it gets tiring to keep all the falsehood up.

Besides, I love your true self.

And that is why you're not afraid of me, who knows you.

This post is dedicated to some of my friends, whom I love dearly. Over these years, I've learnt to know your strengths, weaknesses, likes and dislikes. Sometimes I overstep the boundaries that you give me. But I never regret what I know of you, I REALLY love you people so much! And I just wanted you to know that I appreciate you, whether it's the TRUE you, or the one you put up. Because through, and through, we'll always be friends.

This post has also reminded me of myself, my words, actions, that I sometimes feel I need to show to keep up with the people around me. I don't feel stupid for doing that. But I know how unnecessary it has all been.

If you can't live with me, then don't. I'll live with you.
